My name is Jake, I'm a twenty-one year old from Yorkshire and in 2014 I moved to the city to study Fine Art at Leeds College of Art. My practice is painting and I love to use bright colours and masking tape edges to make up my compositions. I am in my third year at university and so far I have experimented with drawing, painting, printmaking and sculpture. Now placed firmly within the painting and printmaking strand I create abstracted compositions and still life pieces taking inspiration from Home Style magazines to find an aesthetic that communicates the idea of 'good taste' and modern design.
